For most people, yes. Sugar paste bonds to the hair rather than the skin and is removed in the natural direction of growth, so it doesn't tug at the surface the way hot wax does. First-timers regularly tell us it was far more comfortable than the wax they were used to.

Most Brazilian sugaring appointments take about 30–40 minutes, but timing can vary depending on your hair growth, skin + any add-ons you choose. We never rush intimate services, so your esthetician will take the time needed to work carefully + keep you comfortable. Arrive 5 minutes early to get settled, and we'll take care of the rest.

A Basic Bikini removes hair outside the panty line + a little off the top. A French Bikini goes further in on the sides and takes more off the top, but leaves the inner labia untouched. A Brazilian removes hair from the front, labia + between the cheeks, with the option to leave some hair on top, like a landing strip, triangle or another shape.

About a grain of rice, roughly two to three weeks of regrowth, or a quarter-inch. Don't shave in between; sugaring works best when hair completes a full growth cycle, which is also how you get finer regrowth over time.

No worries, you'll just need to give your hair a little time to grow back before we can sugar it. For the best results, we recommend about 2 weeks of growth after shaving, or hair that's roughly the length of a grain of rice. And please don't trim before your appointment. If anything needs a little cleanup, we'll take care of it for you.

The Pretty Kitty is our more in-depth vajacial. It includes a double cleanse, gentle enzyme mask, expert ingrown extractions, high frequency + customized serums and moisturizers. We recommend pairing it with your Brazilian or bikini sugaring appointment, but it can also be booked within 2 weeks after sugaring.

You don't have to figure it out on your own. Your esthetician will assess your skin, hair + concerns like ingrowns, irritation, dryness or hyperpigmentation and recommend treatments + home care based on what your skin actually needs. Our goal isn't to throw treatments at your kitty. It's to help you build a healthy routine for some of the most intimate skin on your body.

Yes! We regularly sugar pregnant clients throughout pregnancy. As your body changes, your skin may become more sensitive, so your esthetician will take their time and adjust the service around your skin + comfort. If your healthcare provider has given you specific restrictions, check with them before booking.

Absolutely. You can still get sugared during your period. For intimate services, just wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup during your appointment.

Yes. Skin + hair aren't one-size-fits-all, and neither is our approach. Our estheticians work with a wide range of skin types, hair textures + growth patterns and adjust their technique based on what your skin and hair need. Coarse, fine, curly, dense or stubborn hair can all behave differently, and understanding those differences is part of a great sugar.

Sugaring can be a great option for clients who struggle with ingrowns because hair is removed in the direction it grows and the sugar doesn't adhere to living skin. We also see many clients concerned about dark marks and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation left behind by irritation or previous ingrowns. Your esthetician can assess your skin + recommend appropriate services, treatments and home care to help support healthier-looking skin over time.

Yes, we can sugar many clients with HS, but we always assess the skin first. We will not sugar over open, actively inflamed or irritated areas and may modify or skip areas depending on how your skin looks that day. If you're experiencing an active flare or aren't sure whether hair removal is appropriate for you, we recommend checking with your dermatologist or healthcare provider before your appointment.

It's completely normal to feel a little nervous, especially if it's your first time. We see all kinds of bodies, skin + hair every day, and there's no judgment here. Your esthetician will talk you through the process, answer any questions + check in with you throughout your service. Book your appointment for 2–3 days before the event, not the day of, that gives any pinkness time to settle so skin looks its calmest. If it's your first sugaring, come in for a session a few weeks earlier too, so your big-day appointment is smooth and familiar.

No, and that's on purpose. Sugar Pop has been a non-tipping salon since 2017, so the price you see is exactly what you pay. A $75 Brazilian costs $75 at checkout, with no expected gratuity on top and no mental math at the end of your appointment.
